POSITION SUMMARY :

The receiver position is responsible for daily receiving and various organizational duties. This includes receiving of all deliveries, inspecting for damage, returning damaged goods, and storing and rotating stock (FIFO).

All storage and organization must be within the guidelines of DOH and HACCP standards.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

• 1 Years of receiver experience in a reputable restaurant or catering
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Requires mobility, prolonged standing bending, squatting, and reaching.
• Strong communication skills.
• Language : English, Spanish ( preferred )
• Display strong work ethics and work habits.
• Competent in organization and time management skills
• NYC food Handlers Certificate preferred
• Have weekend and holiday availability pending production flow.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Receive shipments, double-check check quality of deliveries, and store in the proper location.
• Return damaged products when necessary, keep track of returns, and inform the kitchen
• Keep an organized record of invoices
• Keep walk-in and dry storage shelves organized and clean.
• Communicate with Chefs or Kitchen Managers when product are low or needs replacement.
• Conduct inventory and perform other duties as outlined by the Chefs or Kitchen Manager
• Support savory and dry pack out as needed
• Dishwashing / porter duties as needed : cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, walk-in floors, dry storage, loading area, and kitchen.

Compensation Details

Compensation : Hourly ($21.00 - $24.00)
